Ghosts & Goblins and Witches…oh my!

I love Halloween.

I’ve seen some amazing Halloween decor on Pinterest that has me wishing and dreaming for a house with a front porch, yard or even a fireplace.

Not going to lie, I feel a little limited in my apartment. With no front steps for pumpkins or lawn for silly decorations, most of these ideas need to be filed for another year or so.

That being said, I decided it was time to make the apartment a little more “spooky” since Halloween is less than two weeks away. Having an apartment is no excuse not to be a little kooky around the holidays! My mom is theme decorator extraordinaire (I kid you not, my house rivals the Griswald’s at Christmas) so she started me off for my first holiday at the apartment.

First off, cute “BOO!” dish towels to replace my usual Tuscan-themed ones.

Then, this absolutely hideous “festive” table cloth that literally scares me every time I walk into my kitchen. Oh, the horror…literally!!

Last, my favorite item, which I bought myself from HomeGoods. A cute welcome sign for our front door.

I LOVE it. Makes me laugh every time I come home from a rough day at work (since it’s obviously VERY true). As I always say, it’s the little things!!

Do you decorate for Halloween? What about the other holidays? What have you done so far at your place?

  1. Oh my god, that BOO dish towel is adorable! Where is it from?
We don’t do Halloween here, although it’s becoming more and more popular among kids. I remember two years ago, we moved into our apartment on Halloween and obviously had (almost) no food – let alone candy – and some kids came trick or treating. I felt so bad having to tell them that we didn’t have anything!

  2. Aw I love the sign!

I haven’t really decorated for Halloween, other than a couple of mums and pumpkins on the front step. Everyone else in the neighborhood looks like they’re going all out, though, so we may have to step up!

  3. I really need to start decorating for Halloween. I usually just decorate for ‘fall’, and then try to put up my Christmas decor Nov. 1st! I did put up some pumpkins and mums though! That witch sign is cute!
